Delicate white flowers lead to otherworldly, round maroon seed pods. Both the flowers and the seed pods can be harvested for bouquets. The seed pods dry beautifully into everlasting bouquets. Also called Love-in-a-Mist. Delicate plants grow to 24’-36”. They grow in cool soils and will self sow a bit. Typically they begin to bloom in late June and produce through August.
Nigella Growing Instructions
Nigella prefers cooler soil temperatures for optimal germination. Can be direct sown soon after your last frost date. Cover seeds with soil. Seeds take 7-10 days to germinate. Start indoors 3 weeks prior to your last frost date and transplant out when the danger of frost has passed.
