Delicious bright orange flesh against dusty light blue skins, this Winter Squash is both beautiful and tasty. A Japanese Kabocha type, they store well into late Winter if stored in cool, dry conditions. Vigorous plants produce many 2-4 pound fruits. Blue Kuri goes well in any squash dish you love to prepare! They store well- into January at least- and the flavor improves as they cure. Prefers full sun. Original seed from Adaptive Seeds.
Growing Winter Squash
Start seeds indoors or direct sow in the warm soils of May. Space plants 3-4 feet apart and give them room to run- these will vine far and wide! Mulch in between plants for soil health and water retention. Harvest in the Fall when plants have died back.
