Self Heal

Prunella vulgaris ssp lanceolata

Self Heal, Heal-All, Heart of the Earth- all names for this wonderful low growing, herbaceous perennial.   Delightful purple flowers are a magnet for native bees and other pollinators.  Grows happily in most conditions but loves moist, shade.  Start in early Spring, cover lightly with soil and keep moist until germination. 

Sow in the cool soils of early Spring.  They take their time to germinate so be patient with them.
