Helianthus annus

This mix is quite varied with mostly yellow petaled flowerheads but some browns and reds in there as well. I leave the tall skeletal stalks in the garden all Winter long to serve as meals and landing spots for many types of birds.  Seed from naturalized sunflowers at Wild Dreams Farm.  

Direct sow or transplant in mid Spring and watch in wonder as these tiny seeds grow into 6 to 7’ tall stalks with many branching blooms!
